Young talent blossoms at the East Africa Got Talent

Nairobi. Last week it was seven-year-old Leyna Kagere whose performance earned her the first golden buzzer, this week it was the singing siblings Ezekiel Mutesasira11 and Esther Mutesasira 14 from Uganda.

Even when the judges were in doubt the two siblings showed that they could hold out on their own belting out the knots like professionals.

Interrupted by Judge Gaetano Kagwa of the Big Brother Africa 1 Fame, Elvis was the first to stake his claim and then his sister Esther with an angelic voice took up the challenge.

“Those songs you sung require huge lungs and you guys have got big lungs,” said Jeff Koinange.

“I love your personalities. You light up when you watch your sister which means you are a true fan of her. Something incredible is about to happen in both of your lives and it got to start on the East Africa got talent stage, I can’t wait to see it,” said Vanessa Mdee

Elvis Kirabo,7 the drummer boy also from Uganda was another sensation whose drumming skills got a standing ovation from the audience as he played his set of drums getting judge Vanessa Mdee dancing.

“I feel like we are seeing the beginning of a story of best drummer story ever. I see a future rock star in front of me,” said Makeda told the

Vanessa on the on the other hand could not resist getting into the motions said, “I just want to see you again you were quite impeccable.”

Tanzania’s Maisara Juma aka Black Nyati pulled off a stunt that awed the audience as a motorbike went over her.

Other acts from Tanzania were the Morning Star and Sadiki aka Sub Zero who all got a nod to the next round.

From Kenya  the Kimya Kimya dance group, Mark Angachi the guitarist and the dancing group of Art zone made it to the next round.

Rwanda remains in the hunt as well with Young circus and rapper Taykun degree leading the charge for the $50,000 prize money.
