What we do.
In the IT context of the Managed Services, the service provider becomes responsible for the functionality of the IT equipment and services, and the customer pays as per the agreement between them for the receipt of the services. Managed service is one of the services provided by BCX, it involves proactive outsourcing of the management tasks and all the operations pertaining to IT. There are several models for handling this practice, it can be contracted for break/fix or on-demand or even a full-time contracted service. To meet this demand, BCX has invested in training its staff to PRINCE II Certification level to make sure they have required skills to deliver expected project’s results within time and budget.
Application Software Development and Systems Integration Services:
Our long and extensive experience in application software developments and the skills within our team, enables us to develop efficient and effective mobile applications and web-based systems.
BCX provides a shared Mobile banking platform that allows customers of a bank to perform banking transactions at their convenient time or place using their mobile phones either through a Mobile App or USSD on Mobile Network Operators. Such transactions include Balance Inquiry, Mini Statement, Utility Payments, Money Transfer, Withdraw Money from ATM and Visa on Mobile.
BCX has an Agency banking platform that allows a bank to recruit customers in areas that the bank doesn’t have physical branches to offer banking services. This model increases convenience to bank customers but also helps the bank to reach out to a wider population than it would have otherwise managed without the solution.
Shared Network of Automated Teller Machines (ATMs):
BCX owns a network of about 250 ATMs spread across the country shared by more than 20 banks in the country (including Zanzibar – Unguja and Pemba Islands). Our network also accepts VISA Card, Union Pay, Verve, Qwikcash, TigoPesa and Mpesa.
VISA Transaction Processing:
BCX is a licensed Visa third party processor for; Issuing of Visa Cards, Acquiring ATM, POS and eCommerce and Visa on Mobile.
Government electronic Payments Gateway (GEPG):
BCX Payment infrastructure is integrated to GePG that allows us to process payments to the government for banks and any other organizations that intend to process government payments.
Core Banking System as a Service:
BCX offers a Core Banking System as a Service delivered as a low cost, pay-as-you-use service with zero licensing fees. On-going maintenance and support services are also free on subscription.
Electronic Revenue Collection Information System (ERCIS):
BCX has developed a solution to collect revenue for councils and municipals. The solution manages all revenues of a council and help in achieving efficiency and reduce revenue leakage.
An electronic payment system that manages merchants, agents, partners and customer through a single and centralized window. These include Commuter Buses e-Ticketing system and Merchant Payments Solutions, deposits are done directly to the acquiring bank as they get deducted from the payer.
Train Ticketing System
The ticketing system specifically developed for train companies, manages all transactions that are performed within a train, this system also manages all cargo revenues with rich reporting functionalities.
Procurement Management System
This system manages all procurement processes from budgeting to supplier management and payments, the system is developed such that is flexible based on the given country laws of procurement.
