Bluekey launches software for transport management

Dar es Salaam. Bluekey Seidor, an African Company committed on solving transport challenges, has launched an online software dubbed SAP Business One Transportation Management Solution in the country.

The programme is designed specifically for small and midsize businesses and allows businesses to manage critical business, functioning in one integrated system and eliminating the need for multiple spreadsheets or disparate systems.

Speaking during the business breakfast yesterday, Business Development Consultant for BlueKey Seidor in East Africa, Mr Pratik Odhavia highlighted existing challenges facing the country’s transport businesses, trends and advancements that are disrupting the industry and how technology can be used to spur a profitable business.

“In the age of instant gratification and immediate access to information, customers’ expectations have transformed. Customers now demand quicker, reliable, accessible and more efficient transport and logistics solutions,” he said.

He added that whether moving people or commodities, the software keeps transportation be reliable, safe and cost effective.

“SAP Business One Transportation Management provides a platform for companies to run more efficiently and effectively, providing complete visibility into operational performance to monitor costs and optimise asset utilisation,” he explained.

“In order for businesses in this industry to maintain a competitive edge over new entrants, it has become standard to adopt integrated technologies to increase efficiency, streamline processes and better manage finances.”

For her part, Sales and Pre-sales manager Esther Mwangi said the software looks after vehicle maintenance management by doing inspections, keeping job cards, releasing security information from workshop and fuel consumption control.
