Arusha. The National Bank of Commerce (NBC) has reiterated its commitment to improving service delivery through closer engagement with key clients, following a high-level dinner meeting held in Arusha over the weekend.
The event brought together corporate clients, individual customers, and institutional representatives to explore business opportunities and provide feedback on NBC’s services.
Organised by the Commercial and Investment Banking (CIB) division, the engagement was led by NBC’s Director of Corporate Clients, Mr Elvis Ndunguru, alongside senior officials from NBC’s head office and Arusha branches.
Mr Ndunguru said the initiative forms part of NBC’s strategy to build stronger relationships and promote tailored solutions such as NBC Connect, the bank’s flagship digital platform.
“As a key player in Tanzania’s banking sector, NBC remains focused on delivering reliable, customer-centred services,” said Mr Ndunguru. “Such platforms help us better understand client needs and improve how we serve them.”
He highlighted NBC Connect as a solution designed for corporations, SMEs, and government institutions, aimed at simplifying transactions and enhancing efficiency.
“These forums give us valuable insights that directly inform our innovation roadmap and improve the customer experience,” he said.
NBC is currently focusing on expanding digital services, developing practical financial products, forming strategic partnerships, and supporting sectors such as education, health, and environmental conservation through its corporate social responsibility agenda.
“We want to be a trusted financial partner to businesses across the country. Our focus is on enabling client growth with the right tools and dependable service,” Mr Ndunguru said.
Clients welcomed the forum, noting its importance in the context of Arusha’s growing economy, which is being driven by tourism, agriculture, trade, and manufacturing.
“NBC’s digital services have been instrumental in supporting financial transactions and government revenue collections,” said Mr Abdallah Kiwango of the Tanzania National Parks Authority.
