Dar es Salaam, Airtel Tanzania on Tuesday announced the launch of ‘Airtel Smartphone Double Data’ for all smartphone customers as the festive season kicks in.
All existing customers who plan to upgrade their Feature phones or Smart Phone can now enjoy the new offering on all weekly and monthly data bundles for the next 6 months, when they log on to Airtel network.
According to a statement, all other Smart Phone users can purchase a new Airtel connection and also enjoy this offer. The offer is valid if their smart phone is being used for the first time on the Airtel network.
Speaking at the launch, Ezekiel Kahatano, the head of data marketing at Airtel Tanzania, said their focus is to provide customers with the best possible service and one that is aligned to the current digital lifestyle.
“For that reason, today we are announcing the launch of Airtel Smartphone Double Data, which provides low-cost access to Tanzania’s best 4G network to smartphone customers. As we approach the busy festive season, this enables our customers to stay connected with their families, friends and colleagues across the country.”
On his part Airtel communications manager Jackson Mmbando called upon customers to take up the opportunity
“We believe during this festive season our customers need freedom to communicate with their families, friends and business partners and therefore this service gives all the freedom that our customers need”.
He added: The launch of this smartphone double data offer which gives 100 per cent bonus reflects our commitment to offer better services to our loyal customers. We are confident that this service will also encourage non users of smartphones to start using and this will promote digital lifestyle.
