Male credits passion for impact on women empowerment

Dar es Salaam. Remmie Male is a co-founder and global executive secretary of Pivoting in Heels. She is also the Country Director of Pivoting in the Heels Uganda Chapter.

She has made a significant impact on women and youth by committing to economically empower them through mentorship, executive coaching, business training and entrepreneurship training.

Her foundation has made a significant impact on individuals and communities, providing the necessary tools and guidance for them to thrive.

Pivoting in Heels is a global women empowerment platform whose core programme is to profile leading women both in Africa and the diaspora, then compile them in a coffee table book per country with the lady running the state house writing the foreword.

“As the Continental Executive Secretary for Commonwealth Business Women Africa, then Global executive secretary Pivoting in Heels Global, and Country Director for Pivoting in Heels Uganda, I play a crucial role in promoting women’s empowerment and advancement in these regions,” she said.

With a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Makerere University, Ms Male has utilised her expertise to become an entrepreneur, and her first entry into the labour market was as the founder of Jamboree et Rendezvous, an events management and PR firm.

She said that through the venture, she has been involved in projects involving fundraising, profile raising, and community empowerment of her clients’s companies, with a focus on economic empowerment, harmony, prosperity, and the general well-being of the people in her community.

She said her entrepreneurial journey began with the founding of Jamboree et Rendezvous, an events management and PR firm, through which she has been involved in projects aimed at empowering individuals and communities.

Ms Male said her role as the founder and executive director of the Women of Valour Foundation and Jamboree et Rendezvous and her involvement in various other organisations focused on women’s empowerment and economic development.

Explaining, she said that she has successfully organised Dominion in the Marketplace seminars all around the world, empowering church members with employable skills needed to excel in the marketplace.

. “I am committed to giving back to my community through initiatives such as Dominion in the Marketplace seminars and Vital Voices Global Women’s Mentoring Walks,” she said.

Given this, Ms Male’s impact extends far beyond the business world; she is also a dedicated advocate for women’s empowerment on a global scale.

She said that in addition to her professional endeavours, through her efforts, she empowers individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in today’s competitive world.

“I am currently the Continental Executive Secretary of Commonwealth Business Women Africa, the vice president of Africa and the Uganda Country president of the Association of Business Women in Commerce and Industry, the Proprietor Africa Tumefika, Touch a Life through fashion and design missions and the Vice President, Womenprenuer Africa,” she said.

She said she is motivated to work towards empowering women and youth through her diverse skill set and passion for empowering individuals and communities.

Given this, she said she is happy that she continues to make a significant impact in various sectors because, through her foundations, business ventures, and public engagements, she is committed to creating a better, more empowered society for all.

Given this, she has several accomplishments spanning multiple fields.

As a serial entrepreneur, she has left an indelible mark on the worlds of business incubation, mentorship training, motivational speaking, and executive coaching.

In addition to her entrepreneurial endeavours, Ms Male said she is also an author; she wrote a book called Gango, which delves into the power of networks and how they impact net worth.

“The book also provides valuable advice and inspiration from powerful women worldwide, sharing their tips and philosophies on succeeding in business,” she said.

According to her, apart from writing Gango, she is also a multi-talented serial entrepreneur in the fields of writing, business incubation, mentorship training, motivational speaking, and executive coaching.

She said she is the founder and executive director of the Women of Valour Foundation plus Jamboree et Rendezvous, as well as the Vision Bearer of Beauty For Ashes and Tender Warriors Ministries.

She notes that what keeps her motivated to continue with her activities is that her contributions have been recognised internationally.

She said that she was honoured as one of the 60 global community leaders for 2011 by the State Department under the Irex Community Solutions programme.

It is worth noting that she also received recognition from the Vital Voices Global Women’s programme as a VV Lead alumna for 2015, awarded by Hillary Clinton’s foundation. Additionally, she was nominated for the Desmond Tutu Award in 2010. Ms Male said she has successfully organised Dominion in the Marketplace seminars all around the world, empowering church members with the employable skills needed to excel in the marketplace.

These seminars incorporate biblical principles and provide training in branding, marketing, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and personal leadership skills.

Furthermore, Ms Male is involved in organising the Vital Voices Global Women’s Mentoring Walks, advocating for media literacy, and addressing community issues through television talk shows and online platforms.
