Precision Air, Stanbic in payment partnership

Dar es Salaam. Precision Air customers using the Stanbic Bank visa debit card can now enjoy a five percent discount when purchasing their tickets and transporting parcels and cargo.
The new development, which follows yesterday’s move by the airline and the bank to open a new chapter for a one-year partnership, will also see Precision Air passengers flying abroad enjoy a 10 percent discount when booking hotels and lounges.
Briefing the media on the partnership, Precision Air’s group managing director and chief executive officer, Patrick Mwanri, said the partnership is in line with the airline’s commitment to customer centricity.
“To us, Stanbic happens to be the most convenient and reliable partner to deliver that commitment,” asserted Mr Mwanri.
“Precision Air always strives to offer our customers convenience in accessing our services, and one crucial point on the customer journey is ticket payment.
“We are committed to ensuring our customers enjoy seamless services, not only on the domestic flights that we operate, but also on international flights,” he noted.
On a global scale, Precision Air has entered into partnerships with over 27 airlines, of which, through codeshare and interline, passengers can also enjoy linking with all destinations that the airlines fly to all over the world. Mr Mwanri said the partnership with Stanbic was triggered by the government’s efforts to create an enabling business environment.
Stanbic Bank’s head of consumer and high-net-worth clients, Omari Mtiga, told the press that the partnership will not only create convenience for their customers but also enable them to save costs. He said with the Stanbic bank card, one will stand a chance to book a hotel or lounge at a 10 percent discount, thus making travel and accommodation less expensive.
“In line with our brand promise, we are constantly trying to find new ways to serve our customers better,” underscored Mr Mtiga.
To access the discount, Stanbic Bank customers will be given a special promo code that will be issued to them by Precision Air to use at the booking stage.
Customers will be in a position to buy a ticket wherever they are since the purchase is made online.
