Kenyan band Sauti Sol announced Bongo Flava superstar Harmonize will be among the performers who will highlight the upcoming Sol Fest 2022.
The event, slated for December 17 in Nairobi, has now been moved from Fox Drive-In to the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) at the heart of the Kenyan capital.
The band has revealed that it has invested Sh1.15b ($500 000) so far in organising the event to be headlined by Bongo Flava star Harmonize and South African rapper Costa Titch.
The concert, billed to be a historic one, will also see star-studded performances by celebrated artistes Octopizzo, Nadia Mukami, and drill kings Buruklyn Boyz.
Meanwhile, Sauti Sol has announced a new venue for the second edition of its musical event SolFest.
The band said the change was informed by security concerns.
“SolFest Corporation’s number one priority is the safety of our patrons, artists and partners,” a statement from the group said.
Adding that, “Having had a secure event in 2021, it is in retaining our security standards and ensuring that the location is fit for all stakeholders that made it necessary to change the venue.”
