ATOGS to lead Tanzanian delegation in Offshore Technology Conference and Exhibition (OTC) in the US

The Association of Tanzania Oil & Gas Service Providers (ATOGS) chairman Hon Abdulsamad Abdulrahim (second left) stresses a point during a Pre-Trade Mission meeting yesterday with a delegation of companies in the Energy, Oil & Gas sector traveling next week to the US to attend an Offshore Technology Conference and Exhibition (OTC).


The Association of Tanzania Oil & Gas Service Providers (ATOGS) is expected to lead a Tanzanian delegation in Technology Conference and Exhibition (OTC) to hold in Texas USA next week.

As part of the preparation and in collaboration with U.S Commercial Service at the U.S. Embassy Dar Es Salaam, ATOGS held a Pre-Trade Mission meeting yesterday with delegation of companies in the Energy, Oil & Gas travelling to US.

The meeting was chaired by Chairman of the Board Mr Abdulsamad Abdulrahim and attended by Mr Ken Walsh, Senior Commercial Officer from US Commercial Service Tanzania, Mr Andrew Mahiga, and Commercial Specialist from US Commercial Service, Tanzania and ATOGS travelling members to USA.

Commenting on the event, ATOGS board chairman said the Trade Mission meeting aimed at preparing and briefing travelling delegation about the trip, secured meetings, travelling itineraries, and addressing their expectations.

Tanzania delegation composed of 9 industry Executives and CEO will be travelling to Houston, Texas to attend the Offshore Technology Conference and Exhibition (OTC), 2023 to be held on 1 – 4 May, 2023.

The board chairman said Tanzania delegation will have the opportunity to Access to educational and technical workshops at the OTC, Hold Business to Business matchmaking (B2B) with potential investors and Joint Venture partners and attend special networking events

“Our delegation will also have access to the International Business Center lounge, networking with over 59,000+ energy professionals from 40+ countries that will be there as well as connect with global C-suite leaders and 100+ speakers to discover what innovations we can expect over the next 50 years, he said

He further note that the delegation will have an opportunity to meet various global renowned manufactures and suppliers, visit to innovation and technology solutions centers and learn industry Best Practices.
