Mr Majaliwa said this as he launched the 42 Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF).
The event was witnessed by several ministers, Members of Parliament, dignitaries and members of the business community. The fair commenced on June 28 and is scheduled to end on July 13.
Mr Majaliwa said government officials must assist the business community to identity opportunities for exporting local products.
“The business community should dialogue with ambassador’s in the country as well as international companies participating at DITF to identity export opportunities,” he said.
Meanwhile , while launching the Business Guideline, he said that it will highlight potential areas for attracting investors, require village and regional leaders to prepare workshops to educate the public on industrialisation.
Further, he noted that the guideline will also highlight what an industry is and how they range from small, medium to large.
He said, exhbitors at the Trade Fair were expected to demonstrate professionalism, and showcase quality products.
“We encourage the public to start focusing on industrialisation by producing quality products that meet both local and international standards,” he said.
Meanwhile the Primier also launched tractors assembled by the National Development Corporation (NDC) in collaboration with a Polish firm.
Launching the tractors, he directed relevant authorities to ensure the tractors reach farmers in the village on time.
He also asked the beneficiaries to ensure they repay the loans on time instead of waiting untill the government uses force to demand for the money.
He said the assembled tractors were part of government’s effort in preparing the sector for an industrial economy.
Mr Majaliwa noted that there would be eight tractor sales points so that buyers don’t have to travel far.
A total of 2,400 tractors were assembled in Kibaha under NDC in collaboration with a Polish firm.
