Dar es Salaam. Tanzania needs a bold informed electorate that can make sound decisions through the ballot box, Mr Deus Kibamba, Constitution Forum chairman, said in Dar es Salaam on Thursday.

According to him, a great part of the electorate in Tanzania lacks enough information, hence the need for voter education.

He was speaking at the launch of an organisation aimed at building and raising awareness on voters’ participation in elections.

“A voter without knowledge is a loss. You should strive to provide them with credible information they can rely on to make informed decisions,” he noted.

The launching of the ‘Voter’s Voice’ came barely two months before Tanzanians vote in local elections and a year before the General Elections.
