Tanzania to unveil new Information Policy to replace 2003 version

Arusha. The government is in the final stages of drafting a new National Information Policy to replace the 2003 version, in what is described as a major policy shift aimed at aligning with the Constitution, international human rights standards, and rapid technological changes.
Vice President Dr Philip Mpango revealed this yesterday as he officiated the opening of the Second African Media Councils Summit, a three-day meeting currently taking place in Arusha.
