Magufuli, three other presidents arrive in Arusha for EAC Summit

What you need to know:

  • President John Magufuli on Friday arrived at the Arusha International Conference Centre (AICC) where he is expected to attend a summit of the East African Community (AICC) heads of state.
  • Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta, the presidents of Uganda and Rwanda, Yoweri Museveni and Paul Kagame respectively have also arrived.
  • The presidents of Burundi and South Sudan have been represented by vice president and Foreign Affairs minister respectively.
