MCL, PZG ink strategic pact to advance Tanzania’s development agenda

Dar es Salaam. Strategy and public relations firm PZG and leading media house Mwananchi Communications Limited (MCL) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on advancing key national development priorities, including Dira 2050, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
Signed on Monday, August 4, 2025, the agreement is expected to deepen purpose-driven communication and strengthen efforts toward inclusive and sustainable development in Tanzania.
PZG, Tanzania’s first eponymous strategy, impact, and public relations firm, will work with MCL, a subsidiary of Nation Media Group, to enhance narrative-shaping on issues of national importance.
The partnership will focus on co-developing impactful campaigns, joint research, high-level events, and collaborations with global figures to elevate Tanzanian voices on the international stage.
Speaking on the agreement, MCL Managing Director, Rosalynn Mndolwa-Mworia, said the media house is committed to inclusive storytelling that drives progress and strengthens accountability.
“Working with PZG as a strategic partner, we are engaging like-minded private and philanthropic actors to craft narratives that support development and ensure no community is left behind,” she said.
PZG Chief Purpose Officer, Prudence Zoe Glorious, underscored the importance of the alliance in unlocking dialogue and influence for initiatives that matter.
“MCL and PZG’s shared approach prioritises impact, purpose, and partnerships. Together, we'll advance stories of sustainability and innovation that drive transformative change in Tanzania and beyond,” she said.
The two institutions also plan to co-create experiential content and dialogues that highlight bold African women and promote intergenerational collaboration for change.
Both organisations emphasised that this collaboration will serve as a platform for Vision 2050-aligned initiatives, combining resources and expertise to promote innovation, economic empowerment, and sustainability.
