Mpungwe: Tanzania has potential to be net sugar exporter in a few years

What you need to know:

Currently, Kilombero Sugar Company (KSC) produces 125,000 tonnes of sugar annually. For the 2018/19 season, which ended in early March 2019, KSC has been able to produce 134,000 tonnes, which is its second highest sugar production since privatisation.
