Nape third aspirant to cheat death in car crash

  Dar es Salaam. CCM Ideology and Publicity Secretary Nape Nnauye narrowly escaped death after a car he was travelling in overturned following a tire blowout.

 The CCM leader  sustained bruises in his arm and  was treated at hospital but continued with election campaign in Mtama constituency where he is vying for parliamentary seat.

 The accident occurred around 6am car at Njia Nne village in Kilwa district when he was traveling from Dar es Salaam on Thursday.

 He becomes the third parliamentary aspirant to cheat death in car accidents after ACT-Wazalendo Manyovu constituency runner Goodluck Kimali and Chadema’s Mbinga West candidate Cuthbert Ngwata survived in accidents during campaigns.

 Mr Nnauye told The Citizen that he was alone driving the car when the accident occurred and left him with minor injuries on his arms.

 “I was driving in a company of another car when a front tire bursted and caused the car to veer off the road and overturned. I quickly get out of the car and colleagues rushed be to hospital. Doctors told me I did not suffer serious injuries,” said Mr Nape.
