According to TRA commissioner Alphayo Kidata the exercise will improve tax efficiency, since the old system was seen and proved to be outdated:
Dar es Salaam. The Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA ) has officially launched an exercise to verify tax identification numbers TIN for taxpayer.
The exercise which will go along with a new and digitised system of issuance of TIN as well as a revamp of the TRA's record keeping system.
According to TRA commissioner Alphayo Kidata the exercise will improve tax efficiency, since the old system was seen and proved to be outdated: " The new system will help us know the exact number of tax payers and to identify those who deserve to be on tax base."
