Azania Bank sponsors Bunge Bonanza featuring Yanga and Simba fans

Dar es Salaam. Azania Bank has been announced to sponsor the sports bonanza of Members of Parliament, which is scheduled to take place tomorrow at the Jamhuri Stadium in Dodoma.
The bonanza, programmed to start in the morning, will involve MPs and the August House staff, who are the fans of traditional rival teams, Young Africans (Yanga) and Simba.
Speaking at the handover of sports gear, Bunge Sports Bonanza Chairman Festo Sanga said all preparations for the event are complete and participants are in good shape.
Sanga said the special guest at the event will be Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) president Walace Karia as well as various leaders including Parliament Speaker Tulia Ackson and Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa.
The bank’s Director of Treasury, Gilbert Mwandimila, explained that the lender recognises the importance of sports and good health for the law makers so that at the end of the day they can fulfil their duties of serving the government efficiently.
According to Mwandimila, the bank has donated the sports gear including jerseys, track suits, medals and balls in order to facilitate the bonanza.
“In short, we have sponsored everything that will enable the bonanza to be more successful, including hosting MPs’ dinner party that will take place at the Parliament grounds,” he said.
