Cheka may fight in Australia, says his manager

Speaking after arrival from London yesterday, the boxers’ manager, Juma “Chief” Ndambile said Francis will fight in Australia while Cosmas has secured fight in Hungary next month.
Dar es Salaam. Prominent professional boxer in the country, Francis “SMG” Cheka and his young brother, Cosmass Cheka, have secured fights abroad.
Speaking after arrival from London yesterday, the boxers’ manager, Juma “Chief” Ndambile said Francis will fight in Australia while Cosmas has secured fight in Hungary next month.
Ndambile said he met famous promoters in England purposely to discuss the development of the game between Manchester, Coventry and Birmingham and his company, Advanced Security Company Limited and put the best strategies.
“As you know, Cheka (Francis) is famous in England especially in the three cities, we met and discussed the matter, they (promoters and managers) have decided Cheka to feature in one or two fights before fighting in the major fight to be televised live by HBO television worldwide,” said Ndambile.
He said Cosmass will fight in Hungary next month against Zoltan Kovacs. He said the fight has been scheduled to be held on April 16, but there is a proposal for Cosmass to fight for defending the title in the country. “Cosmass is ready for the fight, we have discussed the deal, but WBF wants the boxer to defend the fight at home and later challenge for the intercontinental fights we are yet to decide on the matter,” he said. Ndambile also said he has secured training opportunity for Cheka to camp in Manila, Philippines under Manny Pacquiao camp.
He said he met one of the Pacquiao officials in London and discussed the matter which is going well. “They have agreed to accommodate Cheka in their camp and get modern training, this will help the boxer to get new techniques in the game, and our aim is to see Cheka crowning world title,” he said.
