Cheka off to Zambia to face WBF opponent

Prominent professional boxer in the country, Francis “SMG” Cheka has left the country to Lusaka, Zambia for the residential training ahead of the February 27 fight against English based Serbian fighter, Geard Ajetovic in the World Boxing Federation (WBF) Intercontinental title bout.

Dar es Salaam. Prominent professional boxer in the country, Francis “SMG” Cheka has left the country to Lusaka, Zambia for the residential training ahead of the February 27 fight against English based Serbian fighter, Geard Ajetovic in the World Boxing Federation (WBF) Intercontinental title bout.

Cheka left the country aboard of Fasjet Airline and will train in Zambia for several weeks according to Managing Director of the Advanced Security Company Limited, Juma Ndambile who own the boxer.

Ndambile said that while in Zambia, Cheka will train with famous professional boxers who are in camp ahead of both Olympic Games as well as best trainers in the country. He said that there are so many sparring partners in Zambia who are ready to train with Cheka purposely to make the boxer gain experiences and win the title bout.

“Advanced Security is responsible for the boxer’s performances, I am his manager and I am sure he will get very good training with the best professional boxing trainers, we want to see Cheka is gain his status,” said Ndambile.He said Cheka has to train intensively in the 12 round scheduled fight and if he will win, WBF will give him another chance to fight for the world title scheduled to be held in the country.“You can see how is important of the fight, we have decided to take our boxer to abroad for intensive training, we want to see the title belt is remain in the country, we call Cheka to be focused in the fight,” he said.Cheka expressed his appreciation to Managing Director of the Advanced Security Company Limited for taking the move that will improve his fight techniques.

“I do remember famous professional boxers, Rashid and Mbwana Matumla were travelling to South Africa for training, Ndambile has shown how he is serious to me and I promise not to let him down,” said Cheka.

The boxer fought against Paul Smith in 2007 and lost on points at Bolton Arena, Bolton before fighting against AJetovic in 2008 at Leisure Centre, Peterlee, and County Durham and lost on point. The move makes the fight to be revenge to Cheka.
