Dar es Salaam. A city resident Pascal Pius has pocketed Sh155.159,820 after predicting perfectly the results of various football league matches around the world through M-Bet‘s Perfect 12 draw.
Pius, who works with Nyati Cement procuder and is a Young Africans fan, predicted the match results precisely to win the firm’s 2018’s jackpot.
Speaking during the presentation of a dummy cheque, M-Bet spokesman David Malley said Pius joins a group of winners who have benefited from ongoing betting. “M-Bet is the house of winners and we really empower Tanzanians financially,” he said. He noted that out of the Sh155.1 million, the government has gained Sh28 million as VAT, which is pegged at 18 per cent. Pius said he spent only Sh1,000 on betting in various matches and won the millions of shillings.
“I will use the money to educate my children as well as establish a business. I will also renovate my house and support my family,” said Pius.
