A Barcelona fan, Fundi - who spent only Sh1,000 to place his bet to win such huge sum of money - was naturally excited after being handed his prize money by M-Bet’s marketing manager, Allen Mushi.

Dar es Salaam. The Lindi Region-based Simba and Spanish Laliga champions, Ali Ahmad Fundi (40), has pocketed Sh126,241,620 after winning the ‘Perfect 12’ lucky draw of the Dar es Salaam-based gaming company ‘M-Bet.’
A Barcelona fan, Fundi - who spent only Sh1,000 to place his bet to win such huge sum of money - was naturally excited after being handed his prize money by M-Bet’s marketing manager, Allen Mushi.
“I do not believe this… To get such a huge amount of money for betting only a thousand shillings! It is lots of money. I am just a cooked food vendor who earns just enough to pay for my children’s education, food, rent. I will now look for a piece of land on which to build a house for my family. I will also establish a small business,” Fundi excitedly spluttered out this thoughts.
The M-Bet-Tanzania marketing manager, Mr Mushi, said Fundi joins eight previous winners of millions of shillings through the company’s ‘Perfect 12’ betting product.
In that regard, he said, the government also got its 20 per cent share of the winnings in the form of gaming tax: Sh25,248,124.
“I call upon Tanzanians to continue betting with our products so that they can also become millionaires overnight. We are a ‘house of champions,’ and you could be among the winners. You only need to spend a thousand shillings -- and you can change your lifestyle and become rich just like that,” Mr Mushi cajoled Tanzanians.
