Dar es Salaam. Zanzibar Football Federation (ZFF) and CRDB Bank have signed a five-year commercial agreement on manufacturing jerseys and equipment for Zanzibar’s national football team.

The agreement was signed in the Zanzibar last weekend at the Golden Tulip Hotel and apart from Zanzibar Heroes, the jerseys and other equipment would also be used by other national teams, namely the men’s and women’s U-17 and U-20 squads.

ZFF secretary general Hussein Ahmada Vuai told The Citizen that all equipment would be designed by Sheria Ngowi.

Vuai addded that ZFF and Sheria Ngowi are trading partners in the agreement.

“We are very happy to sign this agreement with CRDB Bank. It adds something in the football development of Zanzibar. We did not have such kind of a contract, but now we will have official and modern jerseys and other equipment for our national teams,” he said.

He added the jerseys and equipment would be used during Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (Cecafa) competitions and international friendly matches.
