President Magufuli orders local authorities not to disturb petty traders

Dar es Salaam. The President John Magufuli has instructed Mwanza Regional Commissioner Mr John Mongella and other regional authorities not to disturb small-scale businesspersons stationed at various parts of the region.

Instead he has urged the regional authorities to create enabling business environment for the small-scale businesspersons to conduct their business activities and generate sufficient income.

“From today, I urge the regional authorities to allow the small-scale entrepreneurs to conduct their business activities freely without disturbances,” he said.

The President issued the directive when he was addressing Sengerema residents on his way from Mwanza to Chato on Saturday, August 18, 2018.

The event was live broadcast via a local television firm.

Furthermore, he further urged the businesspersons in the region to follow on proper procedures when conducting their business activities.

Earlier on Saturday, President Magufuli paid a visit to his sister Ms Monica Magufuli who has been admitted at Bugando Hospital in Mwanza Region.
