Spotlight on Morogoro as Tigo Fiesta kicks off
Dar es Salaam. Bongo Flava artistes Stamina and Belle9 will lead a galaxy of stars tomorrow at the launch of the Tigo Fiesta at Jamhuri Stadium as the spotlight beams on Morogoro.
This is the first time that the festival kicks off in Morogoro in its 17-year old history that has left a mark on the local entertainment scene over the years.
Speaking in Dar es Salaam yesterday organisers said they were sticking with the year’s theme Vibe Kama Lote with 100 per cent local talent gracing all the 15 gigs across the country.
Apart from the Morogoro born artistes stars such as Nandy, Ben Pol, FidQ, Roma, Mr Blue and Dogo Janja will rock the expectant Morogoro audience.
The line-up will also include Amber Lulu, Lulu Diva, Country Boy, Jay Melody, Jolie and Whozu among others.
Also on the illustrious list will be the Kinanda hit maker Mesen Selekta, Brian Simba Bgway and the return of ZAnton who is remembered for his hit Binti Kiziwi. This year’s Tigo Fiesta 2018 Vibe Kama Lote Festival will tour 15 regions of the country, will also go to Sumbawanga, Iringa, Singida, Songea, Mtwara, Moshi, Tanga, Muleba, Kahama, Mwanza, Musoma, Arusha and Dodoma in that chronological order before climaxing in Dar es Salaam.
Apart from delivering a carnival full of good times, merriment and splendid music, the Tigo Fiesta 2018 – Vibe Kama Lote also has a huge commercial benefit for the artists and residents of areas where the annual musical tour takes place.
