Dar es Salaam. Infinix and telecom firm Tigo have partnered in launching the new Infinix S4 smartphone in the Tanzanian market.

Buyers of the smartphone have been given incentives including free internet package for six months to one year which will enable them to move onto digital platforms.

Equipped with a high megapixel capacity of 32 on its front camera, Infinix will enable the holder to take pictures with the same quality as professional photos.

Infinix general manager Huoson Tu said the smartphone has a rear camera, fashionable screen, powerful battery and speed.

“Infinix S4 is powered by triple rear camera 13MP +8MP +2MP with a 6.2’ water drop display screen for much better portrait images,” he said.

He said triple cameras are responsible for depth, distance and field of view respectively, allowing for up to 120°capture.

“Portrait images from the S4 will be exported to the gallery directly and could easily empower a struggling amateur photographer’s career” he added.

Mr Tu emphasized that S4 has incorporated a smart power management system that helps optimize power utilisation by automatically inducing inactive status for apps not in use and halting their background data uptake.

Tigo chief commercial officer Tarik Boudiaf said that the goal is to promote a digital lifestyle among Tanzanians.

He said the partnership with Infinix aims at increasing number of smartphones and internet users.
