The event, scheduled from November 28 to December 3, 2023, aims to attract both tourists and investors, as highlighted by Hafsa Mbamba, the Executive Secretary of the Zanzibar Tourism Commission, during a press conference on October 27, 2023.

Hafsa stressed the event's potential to create various opportunities, including increased visits from local, regional, and international tourists to Pemba Island.

Collaboration with investors, substantial investments in tourism, sports, and culture, improved communication with the media, and support from private institutions and the government are all key aspects of their strategy.

The festival is being organized in partnership with the Zanzibar National Sports Council, with the goal of promoting sports and showcasing Pemba's rich history.

Said Kassim Marine, the Council's Executive Secretary, expressed their commitment to this objective.
