SGA Security, Isuzu East Africa seal $3mn deal to boost regional operations

Dar es Salaam. SGA Security has entered into partnership with Isuzu East Africa to enhance operational efficiency, expanding capacity, and improving service delivery across the East African region.
Under the agreement, Isuzu East Africa will supply the Isuzu NMR 85H (cab and chassis), which will be customised into Cash-in-Transit (CIT) and courier vehicles, according to a statement shared today. The initiative is designed to support SGA’s growing demand for secure and efficient transportation of valuables.
The partnership officially kicked off on July 17, 2025, with SGA Security set to invest approximately $3 million (around Sh7.8 billion) into the project. The rollout will be phased, starting in Uganda and Tanzania, with plans to extend to Kenya.
The collaboration is expected to streamline SGA’s service delivery, reduce vehicle maintenance costs, and standardise fleet operations using Isuzu’s high-performance platform. With Isuzu’s aftersales support and engineering expertise, SGA anticipates improved fleet uptime, optimised routing, and enhanced customer satisfaction across its regional footprint.
Speaking during the signing ceremony, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the SGA Security Group, Mr Jules Delahaije, described the partnership as a strategic investment in reliability, safety, and scalability.

Purpose-built for tough terrain, the Isuzu NMR 85H trucks are specifically tailored for the demands of CIT operations, reinforcing SGA’s role as a trusted provider of security and logistics solutions.
Chair of the board and managing director of Isuzu East Africa, Ms Rita Kavashe, welcomed the partnership as a testament to shared values of excellence and reliability.
