Dar es Salaam. Tanzania’s automobile industry is growing by leaps and bound. After last week’s e-mobility exhibition in Dar es Salaam, CFAO Motors Tanzania announced the imminent launch of the latest Suzuki semi-hybrid car in Tanzania.

The company posted a teaser video on its social media pages, showing a sleek Suzuki SUV with the words “Something GRAND is happening”. The caption to the post read, “You are about to witness the unleashing of a new breed of SUV, the first of Suzuki Range in Tanzania and Africa at large.” This post has piqued the curiosity and interest of many car enthusiasts, prompting The Citizen to reach out to CFAO Motors Tanzania for more information.

According to Francois Bompart, the CEO of CFAO Motors Tanzania, the company will be launching the latest and the first Semi-Hybrid Suzuki model in Tanzania today, March 24, 2023.

“We are so excited about this new car and couldn’t wait to unveil it to everyone. This new SUV model by Suzuki is equipped with the Engine Stop/Start which has an advantage in fuel efficiency,” said Bompart.

“The new Suzuki semi-hybrid car we are about to launch is designed to be fuel efficient, saving the owner on fuel costs. These environmental-friendly vehicles release fewer carbon emissions into the atmosphere. This car is a game-changer, and people should expect the best,” concluded Bompart.

Hybrid car technology comes with a slew of advantages such as fuel efficiency – the semi-hybrid system allows the car engine to use both Lithium Battery and fuel power, which means the car consumes less fuel than traditional fuel engines. Additionally, most hybrid cars come with a regenerative braking system that captures energy from the brakes and converts it into electricity to recharge the battery.

Semi-hybrid cars are eco-friendly vehicles that help reduce carbon emissions. They emit fewer pollutants compared to traditional fuel engines, making them better for the environment. Additionally, the car’s regenerative braking system reduces the need for the car to rely on the fuel engine, which further reduces emissions.
