Sitti and the Band drop visuals for their new single
Siti & The Band have dropped a video for the romantic love song Subira which was released a week ago. The song is the first single off their forthcoming second studio album, ‘The African’.
In the video the lead singer Amina Omar and the entire band rock in smart outfits and the makeup is super neat.
Commenting on the song the Siti & The Band Manager Lorenzo Herrmann says, Subira molds into unique afro-arab grooves, led by powerful vocals, the sounds of the Qanun and sweet responses by the Violin.
“The song calls for our patience in relationships, personal life, or, as depicted in the video a successful African female fighting for support from her husband,” says Herrmann.
Adding to that he said, after touring from East to West and from North to South with their first album ‘Fusing the Roots’, Siti & The Band utilized the pandemic to get back into the studio and record their second album.
The stories and experiences from the Felabration Festival in Nigeria, Visa for Music in Morocco, Capital Nights in Sudan, IOMMA in La Reunion, ACCES in Nairobi and many other places are alive and keep on influencing their musical journey and creative delivery he adds.
