Chinese killed, six others injured in Serengeti accident

Dar es Salaam.A Chinese national visiting Tanzania died and six others were injured in a road accident that occurred in Serengeti National Park.
According to a statement released by the Tanzania National Parks Authority (Tanapa), the vehicle which had seven Chinese tourists and a Tanzanian driver, was involved in the accident which its source is yet to be known.
“The accident, which occurred at 4pm on Sunday, involved a tourist vehicle owned by Yonda Africa Company, while on its way back to the hotel, one kilometer away from Lobo Wildlife Lodge in Serengeti National Park,” Tanapa stated.
“The body of the deceased has been preserved at Mugumu Hospital, and the six injured are receiving treatment at the hospital,” the statement added.
According to Tanapa, an investigation is ongoing in collaboration with other authorities to determine the cause of the accident.
