Dar es Salaam. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Dar es Salaam Tanzania Chapter, recently hosted its annual seminar, urging members to embrace digital transformation and recognise the profound impact of technology on reshaping industries.
The seminar emphasised the need for finance leaders and directors to consider strategic positions in a rapidly evolving market, integrating digital transformation into their business strategies.
The event was honoured by the presence of the Indian High Commissioner to Tanzania, Mr Bishwadip Dey, the Executive Director of the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA), Mr Pius Maneno, and ICAI Central Council Member, Mr Dheeraj Khandelwal. Their contributions added depth to the discussions.
From thought-provoking sessions on the Blue Ocean Strategy to insights into digital transformation and leadership, the seminar provided actionable takeaways, fostering professional growth and collaboration among attendees.
Speaking at the event, Deloitte Tanzania’s Consulting Manager, Mr Azim Mukri, shared insights on digital transformation, highlighting the critical role of digital advancements in reshaping industries.
“The cooperation between ICAI and NBAA to promote the finance profession in Tanzania is a very effective tool,” said Mr Mukri.
Human Resource Strategist Ms Antonia Godfrey delivered a compelling session on Leadership and Organisational Culture, stressing the importance of nurturing a supportive and adaptable workplace.
In a dynamic case study session, Mr Surendra Tadikamalla engaged attendees in collaborative problem-solving, encouraging active participation and innovative thinking.
The seminar concluded with an insightful presentation by Mr Nirlep Bhatt, Ex-Chairman of the ICAI Doha Chapter, on Business Performance Management. His talk offered practical strategies for optimising business processes to achieve enhanced performance.
