Kinana: Magufuli will repossess idle tanzanite mines

Mirerani. The CCM secretary general Abdulrahman Kinana said his party’s presidential candidate, John Magufuli, will repossess idle tanzanite mining plots belonging to large-scale firms and hand them over to artisanal miners.

Mr Kinana was speaking at Mirerani township:“Few large-scale miners hoard several plots they never extract, vote for Dr Magufuli, for he will repossess and distribute them to artisanal miners."

Outgoing Simanjiro lawmaker Christopher ole Sendeka, who is defending his third term, said he was proud of his hard stance in Parliament, observing that it had greatly promoted Simanjiro countrywide.

He reminded voters that he had promised to defend the interests of the pastoralist community, farmers, and artisanal miners.
