Lake Steel and Allied products launch Dar es Salaam office

Lake Steel and Allied Products Ltd, manufacturers of steel bars, has officially unveiled its new office in Dar es Salaam in a bid to ease operations and make it more accessible.
Speaking during the inauguration, the Lake Steel and Allied Products Ltd Mr Ajay Jha (General Manager) said the new move is strategic and will enhance speedy business as most stakeholders are located around new office.
He said the new offices will be at Mwanga Tower 17thfloor along Bagamoyo Road in Dar es Salaam.
“Lake Steel and Allied Products is a manufacturing factory which is located at Visiga in Kibaha, Pwani. We manufacture unique BS 500 high strength corrosion resistance (HS – CR) Reinforcement steel Bar,” he said.
Lake Group Chairman Mr Ally Edha Awadh said Lake Steel, which is among 10 factories owned by Lake Group, is the first company in the country to introduce high quality and unique BS 500 high strength corrosion resistance (HS – CR) Reinforcement Steel Bar which consists of a state of art fully Computerized and Automatic Steel Rolling Mill plant with production capacity of Up to 25tones per hours which turns annual production of 100000 metric tones.
Due to increasing business growth we are in process of increasing production capacity from 100 k MT to 150 K MT ,which will be completed in next three month.
He lauded the current government for opening up the economy to allow for more investment which as a result leads to more employment and hence more and steady economic growth.
‘High ultra-modern technology and gradation of automaton enables us to produce High and consistent quality of steel bars which are according to national and international Standard.
“Lake Steel’s quality is tested at every stage for better quality product. In order to achieve good quality, we import our raw material from the best ferrous mild steel Billet manufactures around the world. We are equipped with modern wet lab facilities and chemical,” he explained.
Lake steel started its operations in 2019 but has since then achieved several milestones and accepted in retail as well in all government projects and approved as preferred supplier in all government projects. In short span we reached to all retailers, projects and neighboring countries
Meanwhile as part of the inauguration, Lake Steel management and staff took part in a number of activities and among them spending time with the vulnerable children from CHAKUWAMA Children’s Home where they donated various items.
“This is part of our ongoing corporate social responsibility programs where we support several projects including donations to the less fortunate. We have done a lot in Visiga where we operate including contributions towards, construction of schools, hospitals and other development projects,’ said the Chairman.
