UDSM gets new Vice Chancellor as Prof Mukandala retires

Prof Ananisye will hold office for a period of five years starting today (December 5, 2017), according to a statement from the outgoing Vice Chancellor, Prof Rwekaza Mukandala.

Dar es Salaam. President John Magufuli has appointed Prof William Anangisye into the position of Vice Chancellor for the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM).

Prof Ananisye will hold office for a period of five years starting today (December 5, 2017), according to a statement from the outgoing Vice Chancellor, Prof Rwekaza Mukandala.

According to the statement – posted on the university’s website – until his appointment, Prof Anangisye was the Principal of the Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE).

He served in the position since March, 2015.

He had also served as Deputy Principal (Academic) at Mkwawa University College of Education (MUCE) between May 2012 and March 2015.

Valediction and investiture for the outgoing and incoming Vice Chancellors will be held on Thursday, December 7th, 2017 at Nkrumah Hall starting from 13:30Pm, according to the statement.
