Dodoma. Vice President Samia Suluhu Hassan has warned personal secretaries against leaking important information.

Ms Hassan insisted that the government won’t tolerate the behavior.

Speaking earlier on Saturday, during a ceremony to close Tanzania Personal Secretaries Association (TAPSEA) Annual General Meeting, which was held in Dodoma, Ms Hassan said the behavior is unethical and unprofessional.

Ms Hassan said most of government sensitive information are leaked to the public by personal secretaries.

“The word secretary comes from the Latin word ‘secretarius’ which means somebody who can be trusted, so you shouldn’t betray the trust the government places on you,” said Ms Hassan.

On her part TAPSEA chairperson, Zuhura Maganga said the association has more than 1700.
