Dr Mwinyi: Embrace the Vision 2050 with hope

Dodoma. President of the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar, Dr Hussein Mwinyi, has called on Tanzanians to embrace the National Development Vision with optimism, emphasising that it directly addresses the nation’s aspirations to improve livelihoods across key sectors.
Speaking during the official launch of the Tanzania Development Vision 2050 in Dodoma today, Dr Mwinyi noted that the strategy is focused on inclusive progress for every Tanzanian and the nation as a whole.
“This is a significant and historic day for our country, as we unveil a new Vision that outlines the development trajectory of Tanzanians over the next 25 years,” he said.
Dr Mwinyi stressed that the Vision serves as a vital tool to help the country realise its development goals within the intended timeframe.
“This Vision will guide us in understanding where Tanzania is headed over the coming decades. It is a critical instrument for steering national development,” he added.
He further highlighted that the hopes, ambitions, and expectations of Tanzanians were extensively considered during the preparation of the document, making the process participatory and inclusive.
“A national vision must take into account the will of the people and actively involve them. It is encouraging to see that these fundamental principles were observed throughout the drafting process,” he said.
Dr Mwinyi added that the successful implementation of the Vision depends on the presence of peace, good governance, and sustained economic growth.
“It is encouraging to note that Tanzania possesses these prerequisites — peace, sound government leadership, and strong economic performance. I am confident that this Vision will be successfully implemented,” he said
