Corsaletti starts preps for Euro golf tourney

Professional golfers across the world will feature in Portugal's Euro Qualifying School to be held later this year

Dar es Salaam. Two prominent golf coaches in the world, Christophe Pottier and Jean Jaques Rivet of the Biomecaswing Sport Performance Center are nurturing skills of Dar es Salaam Gymkhana professional golfer Philippe Corsaletti.

Corsaletti is preparing ahead of the European Qualifying School to be held in Portugal later this year.

Speaking with The Citizen yesterday, Corsaletti said he has decided to train with the two coaches aiming to do his best in the event to fearure prominent professional golfers in the world. The training is taking place in South France. He said that this will be the second time for him to compete in the famous golf competition in the world. His first time was early this year.

“I have intensive schedule ahead of the event, I believe the two trainers will help me in improving my skills, I am facing tough task to do my best in the event that features prominent golfers in the world,” said Corsaletti.

He said that apart from training in France, he will also train in Dubai and the United Kingdom ahead of the event.

He explained that under the coaches, he will train in all aspects of the game; shipping, wedging, putting, long Irons and driving in different conditions such as with wind and against wind with very different approaches.

According to Corsaletti, he will also conduct a 3D session that explores how the pelvis rotates and moves during the swing. This is intended to bring modification to his swing.

Corsaletti has attained international recognition after competing in the European Senior qualifying school held in Portugal. However, Corsaletti did not finish the event due to sickness.

He said training hard is the key to success in sports and there is no single athlete who has succeeded without training hard.
