Dar es Salaam. The government congratulates the national under 17 soccer team, Serengeti boys, for beating Angola in the ongoing Africa youth championship.
Speaking in the Parliament on Friday, deputy minister for information, culture, arts and sports Ms Anastazia Wambura reiterated that the government will continue to support the team.
Ms Wambura also commended the nation for rallying behind the team. Serengeti boys beat Angola by 2 goals to one in a Match, which was held in Libreville, Gabon on Thursday evening.
The result put the national youth team in pole position to qualify to the semifinals after they forced the defending Champions Mali to a goalless draw in their first match.
