Names of people owning mines and/or holding shares in mining firms will soon be made open if the government’s plan to establish a register, bearing such names, becomes a reality.
The Minister for Minerals, Ms Angellah Kairuki, said in Dodoma on Thursday, October 25 that she will do everything within her means to ensure that the register is established, noting however that she understands that the plan will be faced with resistance.
