Minister Lugola kicks out Prisons Commissioner for being one minute late to a meeting

Dar es Salaam. Home Affairs Minister Kangi Lugola has kicked out Prisons Commissioner General Juma Malewa out of an official meeting for being late. The planning meeting was for this morning at the ministry headquarters.
As per the Minister’s directive, the doors were closed at 11:00am for the meeting to start. However, the Prisons boss arrived one minute later. Mr Lugola then questioned why the door was opened.
Despite asking for the Minister’s forgiveness, Mr Lugola declined.
Mr Lugola has been the Minister for the docket for six days following his appointment on Sunday. He was previously the Deputy minister for State in the Vice President's Office (Union and Environment). Mr Lugola replaces Mr Mwigulu Nchemba who held the position since 2015.
