Dodoma. A baby who was discovered to have been locked in a cupboard has no place to live in after being discharged from hospital.

Social work officers are striving to find a place where Neema Matimbe and her baby will live in after being discharged.

Today, January 11, 2019 is the 16th day since the child was hospitalised at Dodoma Regional Referral Hospital.

Social work officer Theresia Lawei said the baby could not be taken a village as life was hard.

"Her mother is a house maid in the city, something that complicates the matter. But, it should be noted that her problem has been nationally covered therefore it isn’t something to jump for it,” she said.

Meanwhile, the baby’s father has been identified at a police parade, according to the hospital’s head of Paediatrics Department, Dr Muzzni Ujudi.
