Dar es Salaam. President John Magufuli has arrived in South Africa where he is on May 25, 2019 expected to attend the inauguration ceremony of President of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa.
In a statement issued to the media by the Statehouse communications department, President Magufuli was accompanied by the retired fourth-phase President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete and vice chairman of Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) Mr Philip Mangula.
According to the statement, the three, arrived at Oliver Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, before proceeding to Pretoria where the ceremony will be held.
The statement also said that President Elect, Cyril Ramaphosa will be sworn in as the 5th South African President at a ceremony at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria
This is the first time that Magufuli visits South Africa as Tanzania’s head of state since he came to power in 2015.
