President Samia to begin traveling with artists

Dar es Salaam. While attending Harmonize’s recent album launch on the night of May 26, 2024, the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan, revealed that she will begin touring with artists.
Speaking as the guest of honour at the ‘Muziki wa Samia’ album launch event, President Samia revealed: "I want to say that as we open our country, foreigners come to us and we go to them. And often when I go to them, I am accompanied by a panel of businesspeople. Now I want to turn around. I want to start taking artists with me.”
She continued: “I want to be accompanied by artists depending on my schedule when I travel. Whenever we go and there are cultural events, I will bring artists. More importantly, the day after tomorrow, I will be on a trip and one of the tasks I am going to do is to seek training opportunities for our artists, especially actors."
Furthermore, President Hassan has expressed delight at the growth of artists both musically and intellectually, stating that it brings her comfort while congratulating them.
"I see my young musicians, artists, and others in the arts industry growing in their work. They are growing in intellect and knowledge, becoming adults. It brings me great comfort, and I congratulate all my young people," she said.
