Dar es Salaam. Bongo Flava sensation Zuchu left fans ecstatic as she stole the spotlight at the Bata la Disemba carnival held at the iconic Leaders Club grounds.
The event, which doubled as Heineken’s End-of-Year Carnival, saw the musical queen electrify over 5,000 fans with a mega mix of her hit songs, including Zunguka, Siji, Utaniua, Ashua, and Kwikwi.

The festival, which celebrated both culture and community, was graced by Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner Albert Chalamila. He praised the carnival for reinforcing the city’s cultural, economic, and tourism significance.
“The Bata la Disemba carnival not only highlighted Dar es Salaam’s vibrant energy but also cemented its place as a cultural, business, and tourism hub. It was a joyous celebration that brought our community together and highlighted our city’s growth,” Chalamila remarked.
While Zuchu’s performance was the standout, the carnival also featured electrifying sets from international and local stars such as Master KG, Chino Kidd, Linah Sanga, Joh Makini, and G Nako, creating an unforgettable atmosphere for all attendees.
Heineken Beverages International’s Country Manager, Obabiyi Fagade, commended the success of the event, emphasising its positive impact on the local economy and community.
“The Bata la Disemba carnival reflects Heineken’s values of bringing people together and supporting local businesses. It not only provided world-class entertainment but also created opportunities for local vendors to showcase their offerings,” Fagade said.

The grand finale of the carnival was marked by a spectacular fireworks display to celebrate Tanzania’s 63rd Independence Anniversary, capping off an unforgettable weekend.
