Dar es Salaam. More than 150 women leaders from across business, education, and public service are set to benefit from a new Mindful Leadership training programme launched yesterday with Exim Bank Tanzania as its Platinum Sponsor.

The initiative, organised by Mind Matters in partnership with Exim Bank’s Women Empowerment Programme (WEP) under the Exim Cares umbrella, seeks to enhance emotional intelligence, resilience, creativity, and leadership capacity among women.

The training will be delivered in three phases on September 27, October 4, and October 11, 2025. Each session combines practical exercises, peer learning, and expert guidance to build stronger, more effective women leaders.

Speaking during the launch, Exim Bank’s Head of Marketing and Communications, Stanley Kafu, said the bank was committed to creating opportunities for women to thrive.

“We are delighted to partner with Mind Matters in this important programme aimed at nurturing women’s leadership. Through WEP, we continue to create opportunities for women to build entrepreneurial skills, resilience, and emotional intelligence—key pillars that help them transform their lives, families, and communities,” he said.

Exim Bank’s Senior Manager for Marketing and Communication, Kauthar D’souza, stressed that empowering women was central to the bank’s mission.

“This initiative aligns seamlessly with our WEP programme, which seeks to strengthen entrepreneurship, build capacity, and provide equal opportunities for women across all spheres of life. That is why we felt it was important to be part of it,” she said.

Mind Matters Founder and CEO, Nadia Ahmed, hailed the partnership as transformative.

“The Mindful Leadership training is more than just about developing leaders; it’s about transforming women’s lives, strengthening their resilience, and empowering their communities,” she noted.

The programme is part of Exim Bank’s broader Women Empowerment Programme, which aims to reach more than 600,000 women by 2028 through training, networking, leadership development, and business forums.

By supporting this initiative, Exim Bank reaffirms its role as a driver of women’s empowerment and sustainable development, while contributing to Tanzania’s social and economic progress in line with the country’s Development Vision 2050.
