Justice Sauda Mjasiri appointed judge of East African Court

What you need to know:

  • The 20th ordinary meeting of the Heads of State of the East African Community (EAC) has appointed Justice Sauda Mjasiri from Tanzania to be the East African Court of Justice (EACJ) judge effectively from February 12, 2019.
  • Ms Mjasiri who took her oath during the summit is replacing Justice Edward Rutakangwa who is retiring.
