Magufuli sacks Mwigulu Nchemba as Home Affairs Minister

Announcing the cabinet reshuffle today, Chief Secretary Mr John Kijazi said President Magufuli has therefore appointed Mr Kango Lugola to replace Dr Nchemba.

Dar es Salaam. President John Pombe Magufuli has made a cabinet reshuffle of which he has sacked Minister for Home Affairs Dr Mwigulu Nchemba.

Announcing the cabinet reshuffle today, Chief Secretary Mr John Kijazi said President Magufuli has appointed Mr Kangi Lugola to replace Dr Nchemba.

Prior to his new appointment, Mr Lugola, also a former police officer was the deputy minister at the ministry of State at the Office of the Vice President – Union and Environment. Mr Lugola will be replaced by Mr Musa Ramadhani Sima.

President Magufuli has also changed two ministers from their posts whereby the Minister for works, communication and transportation Professor Makame Mbarawa has been assigned with the new docket of the Ministry of water and irrigation to replace Engineer Isack Kamwelwe who has been shifted to the Ministry of works, communication and transport.

Mr Omary Mgumba, Member of Parliament for South Morogoro has been appointed as the second Deputy Minister for Agriculture of which he will join another Dr Mary Mwanjelwa to serve for the Sh30 trillion agriculture sector.
