NBC Bank participates in TFF Awards, promises to enhance competition

Dar es Salaam. The Main Sponsor of the Tanzania Mainland Premier League, NBC Bank, yesterday participated in the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) 2023/2024 awards ceremony, pledging to continue collaborating with all stakeholders in order to build their capacity and stimulate greater football competition.

NBC also sponsors the other two leagues, NBC Championship and NBC Youth League

During the event, Financial Director of NBC Bank Mr. Waziri Barnabas, who represented the bank's MD, Theobald Sabi, expressed the institution's determination to ensure that its sponsorship of the three leagues serves as a catalyst for clubs to improve their recruitment of higher-quality players and strengthen their technical benches.

"Today, everyone can testify to how these awards have increased the appeal among football enthusiasts in the country, thanks to the fierce competition among the players vying for these honors, including both domestic and foreign players. This competition stems from the excellence of these players, which in turn originates from the quality recruitment carried out by the participating clubs. Our role as the main sponsors of these leagues is to ensure that the clubs continue to have that strength," Waziri said.

Throughout the ceremony, various NBC Bank officials, including the Director of Retail Banking, Mr. Elibariki Masuke, the Head of the Bank's Strategy Unit, Mr. Msafiri Shayo, and the Head of the Bank's Marketing Department, Mr. Raymond David, presented awards to the deserving winners, further solidifying the bank's active involvement in the TFF 2023/24 awards.

The highlight of the event was when Waziri had the honor of present the NBC Premier League's Most Valuable Player (MVP) award to Yanga SC player Aziz Ki, alongside the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Arts, and Sports, Gerson Msigwa.

Commenting on this prestigious moment, on behalf of the other officials and the bank's MD, Mr. Theobald Sabi, Waziri expressed the bank's pride in being entrusted with this honor, which further validated the positive feedback from the football community in the country.
