Stakeholders and entrepreneurs trading in environment-friendly biodegradable bags have called for aggressive public campaigns as well as affordable conditions for loans if the government’s efforts to stop the use of plastic bags are to be successful. Gathering at the Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre (JNICC) yesterday, the stakeholders and entrepreneurs said that various institutional and behavioral change nitiatives needs to accompany the government’s ban on the use of plastics so as to make it effective.
